The royal baby has got a name and will known as HRH Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, according to a released statement by Kensington Palace on Wednesday (July 24) afternoon.
This is first time in the first son of Kate Middleton and Prince William has been named in public. Earlier, the royal baby was born on Monday, (July 22) at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary Hospital at Paddington in London.
The royal baby is third in line to become the king of England, after his grandfather Prince Charles, 64, and father Prince William, 31, and can take the name King George VI, when he ascends the British throne. The name is in reference to the royal baby’s father, grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
It’s not surprising that the name has been a favorite for days, as it possesses the traditional qualities, which is expected from the British royal family as past kings and even the Prince William middle name is George.
After getting discharged from the St. Mary Hospital in London on July 23, Kate and Prince William made a short trip with their son to Buckingham Palace and then they went to their home in Kensington Palace, where they spent their first night as a family.
