Kate Middleton and her hubby Prince William are definitely the foremost couple in the UK, but it was surprising when it was reported that the Royal couple just about topped a current poll in France.
The couple, who got married in a grand Westminister Abbey service previous year in the most-discussed about wedding ceremony of the year, stave of competition from the popularity of earlier president Nicolas Sarkozy and his better-half Carla Bruni.
Though William and Kate didn’t surpass Oscar-achieving star Jean Dujardin and his actress missus Alexandra Lamy, the Gala magazine record revealed that the Royal pair was only a few percent afterwards. The Duke and the Duchess obtained 13 per cent while Jean Dujardin and Alexandra Lamy obtained 17 per cent.
The young Royal couple wasnât the sole non-French pair promoted in the roll, as Barack and Michelle Obama (12 per cent) and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (9 per cent) were also listed as favourite.
