Kate Middleton’s prank callers are fired, says they feel shattered and heartbroken

The Australian radio jockey duo said to be responsible for the suicide of the nurse attending Kate Middleton at the hospital have been fired.

The RJ’s, Michael Christian and Mel Greig, publicly spoke for the first time ever, after they prank called Jacintha Saldanha for the release of private information regarding the pregnant Kate’s health condition last week, said that they were shattered, heartbroken and feel gutted.

With tearful eyes, Grieg said to Australia TV’s “A Current Affair”, “There’s not a minute that goes by where we don’t think about her family and what they must be going through. And the thought we may have played a part in that is gut-wrenching.”

Expressing great concern for the well-being of Saldanha’s family, Greig said, “I’ve wanted to just reach out to them and just give them a big hug and say sorry. I hope they’re OK, I really do. I hope they get through this.”

Meanwhile, Christian added, “I hope that they get the love, the support, the care that they need.”
