Apparently, Kate Middleton has her royal title trademarked with the UKâs Intellectual Property Office so that it can be used to raise donations for charitable causes, reported The Telegraph.
The charitable organization she co-patronizes with her husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry, which was saddled with the name âRoyal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harryâ as of last June. The trademark can be registered for a variety of goods and services like T-shirts and even for marathon runners.
A royal spokesman told the Telegraph that the new name and logo of the foundation has been registered in different territories across the world. This protects the foundations name from being used by people illegally.
Meanwhile, itâs been reported that Kate, 31, who is expecting her first child in June with Prince William, will not celebrate her baby shower as she thinks itâs inappropriate.
