According to The Mirror citing an unnamed source on Sunday (June 2), the palace will allow soon-mom-to-be Kate Middleton will take maternity leave on June 13.
The source said that the duchess really enjoys her royal engagements and really wants to work as close to her due date as possible. But as sheâs prone to pregnancy-related sickness, Kate will be relieved from her royal duties on June 13, which will be her last official solo engagement.
As you may recall, Kate is slated for the christening of a cruise ship, Royal Princess in Southampton on June 13.
The source also added that Kate views her royal role very seriously and looking ahead to resume her royal duties once again after her maternity leave in over.
Kate is expecting her first child with husband Prince William on July 13. Itâs also been reported after the birth of her baby; Kate will be staying with her parentsâ Michael and Carole Middletonâs house for the first six weeks, to help her in raising the royal baby.
