Before weeks away of London Games,2012, Kate Middleton, one of the donor of National Portrait Gallery, visited it in order to take in â Road to 2012: Aiming Highâ â A Presentation documenting the preparations for the Olympic Games in London.
According to the Telegraph this exhibition is the Portrait Galleryâs biggest photographic assignment, a long three years project that covers the athletes and organizers of the events. Thatâs why the Duchess dressed up in her Olympic best ; a blue sheath dress designed by Stella McCartney which matches with Team GBâs Olympic uniforms by both color and designer. She also wore a rare piece of statement ornament: a long multi- strand circlet necklace by Cartier. Her choice of color is appreciated by all but there creates both a positive and negative feeling on her wearing necklace.
