Kate Middleton, who is expecting her first child with husband Prince William, donated a baby hamper to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) annual charity auction after she announced her pregnancy on December 3.
The charity helps in offering assistance to young people who have serious and life threatening illnesses.
Even though, the Duchess has been suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness from her pregnancy, she managed to give away a baby hamper for the charityâs annual auction event.
According to EACHâs website, the foundation needs over £5.75 million in public donations to maintain its services.
Kate said on the charityâs auction page, âEACH is invaluable to hundreds of families. In the past year there has been an unprecedented amount of care and support delivered to children and young people with life-threatening illnesses, and their families.â
She continues, âI have been fortunate enough to meet some of those who have been supported by EACH, and seen firsthand the positive impact this organization has on their lives. For both families accessing care, and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time.â
Ever since, Kate returned home in December, she has taking things a little bit easily. Recently, a source reported that Kate will celebrate her 31th birthday on January 9 privately with her close family and friends.
