Kate Middleton has accepted the invitation to attend the fundraising gala event for 100 Women in Hedge Funds on Oct. 24.
The 100 Women in Hedge Funds is an organization for professionals working in the investment industry. The nonprofit organization raises funds for women’s mentoring, family health and education programs.
The lavish gala event will be held in the evening at the Kensington Palace State Apartment, will also benefit the Action on Addiction, a charity where Kate, 30, is a patron. Action on Addiction works in facilitating research, treatment, prevention, professional education, and support to those affected by addiction.
Kate’s husband Prince William, 30, became a patron of 100 Women in Hedge Funds in 2009 and in 2012. Later Kate and her brother-in-law Prince Harry joined him as patrons for an additional three years.
In addition, Kate will also SportsAid’s athlete workshop that will be held at the Copper Box at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Oct. 18. Kate is a patron of SportsAid, which helps British athletes in attaining their full potential, by covering their numerous expenses like travel, training, equipment and competition costs.
Meanwhile, Kate and Prince William have been busy settling in their new family home at the Apartment 1A at the Kensington Palace, which has undergone an extensive 18-month renovation on all four floors.
