Kate Middleton Adds Three More New Charities

kate middletonKate Middleton, who is expecting her first child with husband Prince William in mid-July, has selected three more charities on her list of charities she already patronizes.

The three new charities are said to reflect her personal interests in supporting children and young people alike, to build up their skills, aspirations and confidence, according to a statement released by the palace.

The new charities chosen by the 31-year-old duchess are Place2Be, which is a centre for underprivileged youth for mental health and support, SportsAid, an institution that provides aid and training facilities to young athletes, and the Natural History Museum, a tourist attraction and research facility.

Kate is following in the footsteps of Princess Diana, her late mother-in-law, when she announced in January 2012, that she would be dedicating her time and effort in supporting an array of charitable foundations, which currently includes an addiction charity, the National Portrait Gallery, a group of children’s hospices, and the Scout Association to name a few.

Even though, Kate is due in a few months and was treated for severe morning sickness in the early stages of her pregnancy, the palace said that she has maintained her charitable engagements, by attending meetings and private visits to the three new charities.
